and dance among the rose petals all tangled in your hair.
And my, oh my, what a lovely sunshine-colored shade of yellow
beaming from the daisies in the corner
where the walls define your sovereignty and
maybe increased ethylene will motivate their roots to cling
more firmly to the earth that lies below,
and maybe photosynthesis will generate the elements
they need to be in shape for Mrs. Jones
by next Thursday.
Good afternoon, thanks, I'm doing fine, and, you know,
it seems to me that colors look more vibrant
and my soul feels more alive when I'm in
here with you; I think that we could grow something together.
Our love would bloom, its radiant bursts of color
breathing life into my heart and as you
wander throughout your domain my breath fogs up the window pane,
creating the illusion that you're walking on a cloud.
I smile and wipe from frame to frame the condensation that remained
when suddenly I see you turn around
and catch my eye.
